Diagnostics

A thorough diagnostic test with the right equipment can be an early indication of potential problems on the horizon. Revealing faults with your car’s primary components such as engine and transmission, as well as highlighting any performance issues with fuel injectors, throttle, ignition coils, coolant, and air flow. A more modern development within the motoring world has allowed the addition of digital service books being integrated within in-car computers and entertainment systems.

Common problems that can be identified through Diagnostics:
• Stability/Traction Control
• Engine Management Light (EML)
• Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) condition
• Anti-lock Braking System failure/faults
• Failed or inconsistent fuel injectors

A common misconception about vehicle diagnostic tests is that technicians can use these tools to determine the exact problem that triggered either your fault, or engine management light (EML). In reality, the code tells technicians which engine or component parameters are out of range, but it doesn’t detail the cause of the problems or the specific part that’s at fault. That’s where our technicians use experience and expertise to diagnose any underlying problems and problematic parts.

As an addition to Diagnostic tests, we are able to activate a range of servicing functions built into most modern and digitally driven vehicles. This is a service in which most ordinary technicians are unable to complete due to the specialist equipment required to complete such tasks. We have both the equipment and expertise to competently carry out any of the following; Brake caliper adjustment, power steering angle alignment, electric handbrake adjustment and gearbox adaption settings to name just a few.
